Next year, a romance between two cowboys, Brokeback Mountain, will be released on DVD.

However, the soundtrack will be available much sooner, on November 1. Besides contributions from notables like Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Steve Earle and Rufus Wainwright, there's a song (A Love That Will Never Grow Old) from Bernie Taupin and Grammy award-winning composer Gustavo Santaolalla.

And nine days later, as reported at this Web site, Starbucks will offer Elton John's Christmas Party, featuring some of the singer's favourite holiday melodies, including cuts by the Ronettes, Ventures, Pet Shop Boys, Otis Redding, Rufus Wainwright and Kate Bush.

In addition, Elton does a composition he and Bernie wrote--a duet with Joss Stone.
