Located on Northern Italy's Lake Como, Villa d'Este has been a favourite retreat among the world's uppercrust for decades. It has attracted everyone from F. Scott Fitzgerald to Elton. The food is one of its attractions, so renowned chef Luciano Parolari has gathered together more than 100 of his best recipes.
The result, Villa de'Este Cookbook by Jean Govoni Salvadore, features illustrations and was originally sold only at the hotel (where more than 10,000 comes were bought by guests). But it is also now available to the general public.
What's more, Luciano, who is also known as the ''King of Risotto,'' is coming to the States.
On February 8, 9 and 10, he's preparing a four-course Italian tasting menu. It costs $75, not including wine, gratuity and tax, and will be at the Langham Hotel's Cafe Fleuri in Boston, Mass.
