A toaster belonging to Elton, an empty medicine bottle from Elvis Presley's Graceland home and a Christmas card from Paul McCartney to Adam Ant are among the celebrity artifacts up for auction to raise money for a good cause.
These are going under the hammer at the Times Square Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday, May 31, to aid Music Rising. The auction is called Icons of Music II.
The charity, which was co-founded up by U2 guitarist the Edge, aims to help musicians in New Orleans affected by 2005's Hurricane Katrina.
As for the pianist's toaster, it is in its original box.
It was presented to Elton and his bride Renate Blauel in 1984.
The engraving on the toaster reads: To Elton & Renate With love from your Prod St. Valentine's Day 1984 ~~Sydney~~ "You can choose between Muffin & Crumpet."
The ''prod'' is likely Chris Thomas who produced Elton's 1984 release Breaking Hearts, for which Blauel was the sound engineer.
