A landmark bar on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, is open for business again after a complete overhaul this winter, the Press of Atlantic City has announced.
Among the changes Nardi's Grill and Tavern owner made were increased seating and an additional 2,000-square feet to the kitchen.
John Brennan also brought back a Philadelphia artist, to recreate black and white celebrity renderings that covered the tavern's original walls.
Michelle Connolly's drawings include the Rocket Man, Ray Charles, Madonna and the Beatles.
Brennan wasn't thrilled about the cost of the renovation, but he wasn't complaining about the results.
"The price was out of control. It will come back. It's a nice investment that will pay dividends in the end. I'm really happy with how it turned out," he said.
