Del Newman, who was an arranger on both Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Caribou, has teamed up with EJW for a special event.
He is offering limited edition CDs of Elton John--The Lost Demo Sessions of 1969, and a small picture of the cover, plus a list of the tracks, can be seen below.
Del, who was part of the original recording for Warlock Music, says Elton played piano and sang on seven of the numbers. The other four were performed by vocalist Linda Peters, who later married Richard Thompson.
The tunes were for promotional purposes and featured Jim Capaldi on drums, Simon Nicol on guitar and Pat Donaldson on bass.
The composers, says Newman, who arranged these sessions, were Nick Drake, John Martyn, Beverly Martin, Mike Heron and Ed Carter, and the recording was done a few months before the Elton John album came out.
Del, who has 450 CDs left from 1,000 of the session, stresses that this is not a bootleg and that all due royalties have been paid to the PRS in London.
He is charging just $10 for each, plus postage.

Time Has Told Me
