In response to the widespread devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, the networks of NBCUniversal -- including NBC, Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNBC, Style, Syfy and USA -- will join forces to air a one-hour live telethon.
Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together is to run this evening, from 8-9 p.m. ET.
It will be hosted by Today Show anchor Matt Lauer. Additional networks could join the broadcast of the benefit prior to airtime.
Money collected will be donated to the American Red Cross relief efforts for the disaster.
The telethon also will be live-streamed on NBC.com.
Christina Aguilera, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and Sting are among the participating artists.
The EJAF's American office in New York was among the many organisations impacted by Sandy. They are currently without power, so their Web site is down today.
