''Epic Sessions'' Contest

Written by Chief Editor.

American Epic, recently broadcast on  PBS, chronicled the recordings of the 1920s, from Country singers in the Appalachians to Tejano groups from the Texas Mexico border. For the American Epic Sessions, the film's documentary team reassembled the very first electrical sound recording system from the 1920s, and invited Jack White and T Bone Burnett to produce an album of recordings by artists like Elton, Los Lobos, Willie Nelson and Nas.

There's now an American Epic Vinyl giveaway. It runs through July 23.

The winner will receive one 3 LP set of The American Epic Sessions on 180 gram vinyl. He or she will also receive two LPs of thematic collections from American Epic, including AMERICAN EPIC: Blues and AMERICAN EPIC: Country. Prize retail value is $85. The winner will be contacted Wednesday, July 26, and must accept by 10 a.m. CT on Thursday, July 27.

To enter, fill out the form at www.TheCurrent.org (scroll down to ''Giveaways'').
