Showbiz Memorabilia to Help a Philanthropist Raise Funds For Trip to Kenya

Written by Chief Editor.

Luke Newman is a Biggleswade resident who plans to take part in a charitable mission this spring.
He told this Web site:
''With Derby County Community Trust and African Adventures in May 2014, I shall be going to St. Trizah School in Nakuru. It’s an 11-day trip to support children who have HIV/AIDS and/or been orphaned. I shall be doing teaching and community work, helping staff with academic subjects such as Maths, English and Music. Also making home visits to see their living conditions and day-to-day life.  I will also be doing multi-sports coaching.
''Finally I will be helping with the community building and renovation work, such as painting and renovating classroom walls, chicken coops, fences, installing and constructing water tanks and helping clear land for harvesting crops. My father and brother have been twice before, but I have never been in position, due to work and family commitments to go.''
To help get money, Luke is selling celebrity memorabilia, including the Red Piano book, a copy of The Big Picture album, and some photographs of Elton.
Among other items are five signed Eastenders cast photos, a Little Britain Live DVD (autographed by David Walliams and Matt Lucas),  a Bolton Wanderers shirt with Fabrice Muamba's John Hancock, and a John Bishop signed DVD.
Those who would like to donate can text LNAA80 and an amount (i.e £5) to 70070 or via www.bit.ly/LNAA80.
