Pollstar has revealed that 2013 was a record year for the global concert industry. Combined, the Top 20 Worldwide Tours took in $2.43 billion in primary ticket sales, a huge $470.6 million or 24 percent increase over the $1.96 billion generated in 2012.

Bon Jovi hit No. 1 across the globe, but the band’s $259.5 total gross was also the highest in its career. Among other rock veterans on the list were Paul McCartney (#11), the Rolling Stones (#12), Rogers Waters (in the 16th spot), and Sir Elton (#19).

There were also a couple of newcomers to the Top 20 Worldwide Tours.

One Direction grabbed 10th place by grossing a total of $114 million, and Bruno Mars clocked in at 17th with his $72.4 million total.
