Elton has helped deaf children hear again, after travelling to the Philippines with the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
The vocalist and his partner traveled to Southeast Asia to share the life-changing joy of sound and give people in need the opportunity to hear clearly for the first time in their lives by providing and fitting them with free hearing aids.
Elton called the experience "incredibly uplifting,'' adding, "When people are cared for and not forgotten, their human spirit comes alive, and that is why, when Starkey approached me, I had to be a part of Operation Change. I know everyone who watches this series will want to be a part of it as well."
Operation Change is a new documentary series on the Oprah Winfrey Network. Elton and David's episode aired last night.
The pop star and the filmmaker embarked on the journey with longtime philanthropic supporters Bill and Tani Austin and their son Steven Sawalich through their global non-profit organisation, the Starkey Hearing Foundation.
The SFH gives free hearing aids to those in need, transforming lives by empowering people to connect with their families and their communities like never before.
