What's it like to work with Alice Cooper and Liberace? How about partying with Elton?
Rockin' Reggie Vinson shares his thoughts about the above in his memoir, Still Got a Song in Me: Lookin' Through The Eyes of a Rockin' Life. Among his memories is the time Alice invited him to hang out with Elton.
The piano player showed up in a limo and went with them to various clubs.
Elton observed that they were both originally named Reginald. He told Vinson that it's an English name which means ''to rule.''
Rockin' Reggie says this was certainly true in the Rocket Man's case, as he ''ruled the musical landscape'' in the 1970s.
The author also talks about Etta James; Tiny Tim; Chuck Berry; and John Lennon, among many others.
Reggie, whose aunt was Grand Ole Opry star Minnie Pearl, was inducted into the International Rockabilly Hall Of Fame in Jackson, Tennessee in 2015.
