John Lewis Continues Association With Pop Legend

John Lewis & Partners is continuing its association with Sir Elton with eight product spots, each featuring a different one of the singer’s hits, Campaign has revealed.

The retailer said it was its biggest product ad campaign to date.

One ad for the Lego Creator Winter Holiday Train is soundtracked by This Train Don’t Stop There Anymore, while another for the Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee Machine by Krups features I’m Still Standing.

The other brands, products and tracks featured are:

As previously mentoned, Elton is the star of the 2018 John Lewis Christmas campaign. The advert depicts the story of his rise to fame and fortune from humble beginnings.

The mini-biopic, set to Your Song, shows how one present can change a life and ends with a four-year-old Elton unwrapping his first piano.

The commercial then cuts to the entertainer today, playing the instrument while thinking about his mother, who died last year, followed by the slogan: 'Some gifts are more than just a gift.'
