For the second year in a row, Rock Lititz in Lititz, Pennsylvania, will be the site for the big spring fundraising party hosted by the Warwick Education Foundation. Education Rocks! will repeat last year’s successful agenda of dinner, dancing, and auctions to benefit K-12 public school students.
“Community response was absolutely amazing,” Barbara Mobley, the foundation’s executive director told the Record Express, “so we’re staging a repeat performance. But we’ve added a few surprises to make the night even more fun.”
Held at Pod 2 on the Rock Lititz campus, Education Rocks! kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on April 6, with appetizers and drinks. It includes a performance by the Warwick High School Jazz Band, catered dinner and dessert stations, plus dancing to the music of Usual Suspects, a local band.
Winners of the raffle drawing held at noon earlier that day, will be announced at the event. Silent and live auction players could win any of 50-plus coveted experiences and luxury items, including an overnight getaway on Cape May, an excursion for two to Asheville, N.C., and winner’s choice to see either Elton or Billy Joel in concert.
