Newsweek has previously published special editions devoted to Princess Diana, John Lennon, George Michael, Tom Petty, and Star Wars.
Now there's one for Sir Elton's fans. It celebrates the star's prolific career with a detailed discography, pertinent dates (such as June 17, 1967, when Bernie Taupin answered an ad which led to the songwriters' meeting and eventual partnership), and discussion of projects like The Lion King and Rocketman.
There are also oodles of memorable photos: in front of Elton's tour plane; at the Hollywood Walk of Fame; playing DJ for the first time; working on a promotional film for A Single Man; and performing at events in Spain, Australia, France, England, and America.
