The Standard has revealed that bespoke outfits made for Elton have gone on display today.

They are on Savile Row, at Richard James' store. The tailor has made the singer clothes ranging from tailcoats covered in crystals for Las Vegas to a pink and yellow number for the Grammys.

To mark the upcoming release of Rocketman, Elton has lent five outfits back to Richard for a month-long ''fashion showcase,'' curated by the tailor and Swarovski. The star said: “I remember the first time I met Richard. I’d popped into the Joseph men’s shop and was bowled over by the most striking sunflower ties.

“I flipped them over to see the eponymous label ‘Richard James Savile Row.’ Savile Row?! I hadn’t seen anything this fresh in years. Naturally, I got the address and headed there immediately.”

James remarked: “It’s special to dress Elton because he has a great sense of fun.”

A limited run of T-shirts, all with a Swarovski crystal rocket emblem (a sample is on Richard James' Instagram page as well as on the company's blog) will be on sale at the store for £175 during the run.
