Forbes' Global Celebrity 100

Written by Chief Editor.

Taylor Swift has returned to the top of Forbes' highest paid celebrity list—and this year, with her biggest earnings yet. The outlet reports that the singer's estimated pay was $185 million pre-tax last year.

Kylie Jenner is second with $170 million. She's followed by her brother-in-law Kanye West (with 150 million bucks). Further down is Elton. He's in 19th place, grossing 84 million dollars.

There are 16 newcomers to this year’s list, most of them of athletes, thanks to record-breaking contract deals that have been signed this year.

The Forbes Celebrity 100 list ranks “front of the camera” stars around the globe using their pretax earnings from June 1, 2018 through June 1, 2019, before deducting fees for managers, lawyers and agents. Forbes figures are based on numbers from Nielsen, Pollstar and IMDB, SoundScan, BookScan, ComScore and NPD, as well as interviews with industry experts and many of the celebrities themselves.
