This weekend marked 22 years since Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris.
Elton was among the many people across the world remembering the People’s Princess on Saturday. He posted a photo of himself with his friend on Instagram with the caption ''Miss you so much.''
Jamie Lee Curtis reminisced about having just missed Diana's short visit to her movie set, a few months before her death, because the actress was in the bathroom. But Curtis said she wrote a letter and received a handwritten reply from Kensington Palace saying she hoped they would get to meet in the future.
"I thought about her and her life and the choices she made and how brave she was," the actress wrote on Instagram. "It gave me comfort that although her life was short, it was complete. She was a great role model for me. An example to live by. I honour her today."
Dancing With The Stars judge Bruno Tonioli also was thinking about Diana. He wrote on Twitter: Remembering the beautiful mother and global icon.”
Gary Barlow offered his thoughts as well. He told his nearly 500,000 Instagram followers: “Princess Diana – always in our hearts – we were lucky enough to have the pleasure of spending some time with this amazing woman.
“She will always be missed.”
As part of Take That, Barlow performed at the Concert for Diana benefit at Wembley in 2007, as did names like Lily Allen, Kanye West, and Elton.
