John/Taupin Items Included in Upcoming ''Icons'' Auction

Written by Chief Editor.

How would you like to own clothes once worn by Elton?

What about an acetate disc of an unreleased 1968 number by the star called Taking the Sun from My Eyes or a Special Citation of Achievement presented by BMI to Bernie Taupin in recognition of more than four million broadcast performances of Your Song? Or do you prefer the lyrics to Your Song, with Bernie's painted embellishments?

These are among the offerings at the upcoming Icons & Idols: Rock 'N' Roll Auction.

The two-day live event takes place on Friday, October 25th and Saturday, October 26th, at New York City's Hard Rock Café and online at Julien's Live.

There will be hundreds of highly collectible lots documenting rock 'n' roll’s rich history, spotlighting musical instruments, clothing, personal items, and memorabilia from the hottest stars of today and yesterday. Besides Elton, they include Janis Joplin; Keith Moon; Elvis Presley; Michael Jackson; Prince; Kurt Cobain; Bob Dylan; Freddie Mercury; Lady Gaga, David Bowie; and Madonna.
