Memories And Money Being Sought For Club Which Hosted Elton's First U.S. Show

Written by Chief Editor.

During these difficult times, a West Hollywood club that served as a vital springboard for singer/songwriters like Elton, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Carole King, Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt, is inviting fans, artists, and media to recall favourite memories.

Musicconnection.com reports that folks are invited to use the hashtag #TroubMemories for the establishment, which has also held events with Guns N' Roses, Coldplay, Prince, and Elvis Costello, among others.
Since being closed down because of COVID-19, the Troubadour has faced staff cuts and mounting bills. General manager Christine Karayan is afraid they may not be able to survive.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover insurance and keep the remaining skeleton staff afloat.
