From September 11-13, The Property From Bill Wyman & His Rolling Stones Archives will be sold at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, California, as well as online.
The bass player is selling a variety of recordings, including some from Elton. What's more, there's a programme for the Ivor Novello Awards ceremony held in London in 1986. Wyman attended and presented an award to Elton. At the event, Elton won a trophy for ''Outstanding Contribution to British Music.'' He also got an award for ''Best Song Musically & Lyrically'' that evening for Nikita.
Another lot consists of a purple silk shirt with drawstring waist and blue silk pullover shirt with oversized chest pockets. Both date to the Rolling Stones' 1989-1990 Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle tours. Wyman also wore the blue number when he presented Elton with the aforementioned Ivor Novello trophy for ''Outstanding Contribution to British Music'' at Grosvenor House Hotel.
Another item of clothing, owned by the Rocket Man himself, is being sold earlier in the month. As reported previously, the vocalist's metallic blue Gucci tracksuit with red, blue, and white stripes is to be part of the MusiCares Charity Auction, hosted by Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills and online on the 9th of September.
MusiCares was set up by the Recording Academy to provide support for folks in the music industry. Proceeds from the auction will be shared between MusiCares and the Grand Ole Opry Trust, which provided financial assistance to those in the country music industry.
