Elton celebrated his 74th birthday yesterday alongside his husband and two sons as they enjoyed a blueberry and raspberry-topped cake. He wore a Gucci tee shirt (seen below) in colours that seemed to match the dessert.
''Having the best birthday ever with my 3 wonderful boys. What could be better?'' the musician wrote online, tagging David Furnish in a photo of himself cutting a slice of cake.
David put up a photo of Elton wearing a sequin bomber jacket and star-shaped spectacles, captioning it: ''Look who decided to dress down on their birthday?'' Calling Elton ''his extraordinary husband,'' Furnish added: ''I love sharing my life with you. I love working with you. I love parenting with you. You are my one and only.''
Victoria Beckham posted a picture of them together on a boat and wrote, ''We all love you so much. Kisses from us all.'' Her husband, David, and eldest son, Brooklyn, also displayed shots of themselves with the vocalist, alongside best wishes.
Bernie Taupin's Instagram page featured a shot of the two of them. The songwriter referred to Elton as his ''dear, dear friend,'' and continued:
''You are an inspiration to the world, a bonafide one off never to be replicated. Your love and generosity shines through your music and philanthropy for all to share. I love you dearly and can't wait to be reunited with you (hopefully) in the fall.''
Watford FC also weighed in, borrowing from Elton and Bernie's classic, Your Song.
''How wonderful life is now you're in the world,'' read their message, followed by ''Happy Birthday to a true Watford hero, the one and only Elton John,'' and an assemblage of images through the years.
