The Bookseller website has announced that an autobiography from one of Elton's key associates is expected in 2023.
Faber, the publishing company, calls Tony King a ''creative muse for some of the world's greatest artists, including Elton John, Freddie Mercury and John Lennon.''
The statement also says that for over six decades, the former publicist and A&R man has been ''at the beating heart of the most iconic musical moments,'' so his story will be ''essential reading.''
EJW readers may remember that the March 2021 issue of British GQ contained an interview with ''the King Behind The Thrones,'' who used to set up early sessions for the former Reg Dwight. He also worked for Rocket Records and was involved with the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour before Covid struck.
