In celebration of its 1,000th performance this October, Billy Elliot The Musical has teamed up with a British paper to offer readers the chance to win one of five pairs of tickets to see the show.

Set in County Durham, this story has captured hearts and minds the world over ever since the film was released in October 2000.

The musical, scored by Sir Elton, celebrated its second birthday in May, and has played to over 1.4 million people, the Queen among them.

Even if folks don’t win, they have an opportunity to book tickets at a special celebratory rate. For a strictly limited time, when someone buys a £40 seat to the show, he or she will be upgraded to a top price seat (usually £59.50) at no extra cost.

The offer is valid for Monday to Thursday performances until October 11, subject to availability and a booking fee applies.

To book tickets call the Victoria Palace Theatre on 0870 895 5577 and quote ‘newspaper offer’.

To enter the competition (tickets are nontransferable), go to http://www.enfieldindependent.co.uk/competitions/.var.928940987..11.php

and answer the question,

Who played Billy Elliot in the 2000 film of the same name?
