As mentioned previously, a bull owned by Bernie Taupin, Tom Teague and Joe Berger, was recognised by the PBR last month.

Little Yellow Jacket, who died at the age of 15 in September, was the first-ever PBR Brand of Honour recipient. Although Taupin did not attend the Vegas ceremony at the MGM Grand, his partners Teague and Berger did.

“I don’t deserve anything,” said Tom, who praised Joe for raising the animal and thanked the Berger family for allowing him the opportunity to buy into him. “All I did was tag along.”

In return, Joe saluted Tom, calling him “the best partner I ever had.”

Little Yellow Jacket won the PBR World Champion Bull title in 2002, 2003 and 2004. He is immortalised in a statue located in front of the PBR headquarters in Pueblo, Colo., along with Adriano Moraes, the organisation’s only three-time World Champion bull rider.
