On October 10, as most EJW readers are aware, Carnegie Hall will be the site of a tribute to Elton and Bernie Taupin.

Among those taking the stage will be Page McConnell, who will cover Amoreena.

Jon Marcus, Director of Music For Youth, the charity running the event, told that the Rocket Man is not scheduled to attend.

But his lyricist will probably be there.

This is the UJA Federation of New York‘s Music For Youth‘s fourth such homage. Their first three, were respectively, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.

Concert-only tickets, and VIP tickets (the latter offering admission to a pre-concert artists reception as well as the best seats in the house) can be purchased by dialing 212-247-7800.
