The producer of The Union and The Diving Board will receive the Maestro Award at the 2013 Billboard/Hollywood Reporter Film and TV Music Conference on Wednesday, October 30.

T Bone Burnett will be saluted for his work in film and television music, most recently as executive music producer of Inside Llewyn Davis, the CBS Films release opening in theaters December 20. It is his fourth time working with the Coen brothers, Ethan and Joel, who directed and wrote the fictional film about the Greenwich Village folk music scene of the early 1960s. The flick has already earned critical acclaim, garnering the Gran Prix at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and further raves at the recent Telluride Film Festival.

Burnett will participate in a Q&A after the award presentation at the W Hotel in Hollywood. He’s expected to offer insights on being a producer and performer for over 40 years.
The two-day conference, being held Oct. 29 and 30, includes panels, Q&As and case studies with composers, music supervisors, artists and executives from across the film, television, advertising and music industries.

The Maestro Award is given annually to those who have made a lasting contribution to film and television music. Previous winners include composers Danny Elfman and Hans Zimmer, and songwriter Diane Warren.
