Ontario residents have a chance to win a pair of tickets to see Elton’s November 5 show at the Copps Coliseum.
Entrants enter online at www.thespec.com/elton, and play the ‘clip of the day’, complete the online form including the correct answer to which song was the clip from, then submit the form.
People can enter more than once, but only once a day, through midnight, Tuesday, October 31. The selected contestant will be chosen by random draw, which will take place on Wednesday, November 1st, 2006 at approximately 10 a.m. In order to be eligible to win, one must correctly answer ”a mathematical skill-testing question.”
To enter, folks need to write a letter, send an e-mail or make a video, explaining their special connection to one of the Rocket Man’s melodies. All entries must include name, address, and telephone number in order to qualify. The very best will make it into the Go section of the Hamilton Spectator on Thursday Nov. 2, 2006.

Two prizes of a pair of tickets to Elton’s 8 p.m. concert will be awarded. Tickets for two valued at approx. $309.00.
Secondary winners will receive a copy of the entertainer’s latest CD The Captain & The Kid. Victors must come to The Hamilton Spectator, Customer Service, 44 Frid St., Hamilton, ON in person to collect the prize won by Friday, November 3 at 12:00 p.m.
Prior to receiving the prize, the winner will be required show valid photo ID and to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release form releasing the sponsors of all liability, confirming compliance with the rules and consenting to the use of his or her name and photograph, without further compensation, in any publicity carried out by the sponsors and/or their advertising and promotional agencies.
