Victoria Beckham has ensured that a lot of expensive good will be auctioned at her pre-World Cup party.
As reported earlier by EJW, the former Spice Girl vocalist and her England football captain husband David will host a gala at their Hertfordshire home, dubbed Beckingham Palace, on May 21 to raise money for UNICEF.
An insider said, “David and Victoria are doing all they can to ensure that the party will be spectacular, but they’re also determined to raise as much cash as possible.
“There will be dozens of high rollers there, and David and Victoria want to make sure their cash burns a hole in their pockets.”
Victoria, 32, persuaded jeweller Jacob and Co. to donate a pair of diamond encrusted his and hers watches worth £600 000.
Also up for auction will be a £1-million diamond necklace from Asprey and a limited edition Bentley car worth £300 000. ‘s below
The insider added: “When Victoria was in New York recently, she went to see the Jacob and Co. designer to twist his arm so he’d donate something for the auction. She came back with two of the most expensive watches the company makes.
“And the Bentley has every conceivable gadget – the footballers present are bound to be trying to outbid each other for it as there will be no more made for sale.”
Victoria has also persuaded British TV star Graham Norton to hold the auction, while celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey is preparing the food.
Guests will also be serenaded by a duet between Robbie Williams and soul legend James Brown.
As well as the entire England World Cup squad other guests include Elton, Prince Charles and Tom Cruise.
