For the last couple of years, a Solihull resident has been creating portraits of Elton, Marilyn Monroe, Bob Marley, Queen, Clint Eastwood, and Morgan Freeman, among others.

Wayne Wright just uses spilt cold coffee, a brush and a canvas. The former factory cooperative says it all came about when his teen daughter, who was studying GCSE Art at the time, asked for his assistance.

His first idea was to paint with black tea because there wasn’t much art material in his home. It was too weak, and gravy wasn’t effective either. So Wayne went with coffee, and that worked.
