For the second year running, Chef Wayne Elias of Marks Restaurant and Crumble Catering will provide a wide range of culinary delights for EJAF‘s annual Oscar soiree, which hopes to raise over five million dollars, according to a statement released today.
In order to execute an event that exceeds guest expectations, the cook works hand-in-hand with his business partner of over twenty-five years, Chris Diamond. Together, they’ve operated Marks and Crumble since 1995.
For anyone else, an event of this magnitude might be intimidating and overwhelming, but for Chef Wayne and Chris, it’s just one of the many exciting and fun challenges in their busy annual schedule. The latter commented: “It’s definitely a labour of love for us and we’re extremely honored to be working with Elton’s foundation.”
Crumble also provides all food services for The John Anson Ford Amphitheater in Hollywood and the NBC Studios Commissary in Burbank, serving up over one-thousand daily meals for the network’s workforce in addition to catering The Tonight Show, Ellen, Access Hollywood and others.
In fact, Crumble works on hundreds of events, including the world premiere of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and the recent grand reopening of The Geffen Playhouse at UCLA.
But for Chef Wayne, every person he serves on a daily basis is equally important, remarking, “When guests depart with the many delicious flavors of the night pleasantly etched on their taste buds, it makes it all worthwhile.”
