Rich Engler, a music veteran from Pittsburgh,  has published a new book titled Behind the Stage Door: A Promoter’s Life Behind the Scenes.

The memoir contains stories from Engler’s long career as a concert promoter, and includes over 300 photos, posters, and admats from his personal collection. The former drummer’s stories include one about Elton and Billy Joel. The latter felt that the duo had been ”disrespected” in a local publication, so Rich had to calm him down before the Face to Face players’ performance at Three Rivers Stadium.

There are several forwards, and the contributors include Rush‘s Alex Lifeson, Phil Ehart of Kansas, and Paul Kantner of the Jefferson Airplane.
