Cindy Lass‘s much-delayed exhibition of her series of Celebrity Flowers will open on Tuesday 16th May at Square One, 592 Kings Road, London SW6, the artist’s Web site has announced.

 These unique flower portraits, each nominated and signed by an A-list celebrity and decorated with Swarovski crystals. Cindy says: “I am really thrilled that Celebrity Flowers is now complete and will soon be on show at Square One, but what thrills me the most is knowing the sale of these pictures will raise both money and awareness for a fantastic cause. On behalf of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, I would like to thank all those celebrities who made time to share their love of flowers and sign “their” canvases”.

Not only have each of the celebrities nominated a flower – each is embellished with crystals and signed by the relevant personality.

All money raised will go to the EJAF. The reserve prices will be in the region of £2500, but there is likely to be significant interest in the sale as Cindy’s work usually commands prices of £5,000 upwards.

{ And there should be a good turnout, considering the notables include George Michael, Joan Collins, and Elton: the latter’s piece is a pink peony.}
