The founder of the Elton John AIDS Foundation recently sent a letter to the U.S. Congress urging them to replenish the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, which combats AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria worldwide.

A House subcommittee responded with a $210M increase in funding! Altogether, the subcommittee allocated $6.3 billion to fight AIDS—$1.6 billion above what the President asked for.
