A classic car that belonged to Sir Elton and Lord Alan Sugar has emerged for sale.

The 1959 Bentley S1 Continental Sport Saloon was bought by the former Reg Dwight in 1976 and he owned it for 25 years before selling it to The Apprentice star in 2001.
Lord Sugar later said he overpaid for the silver Bentley, claiming he had been “done up like a kipper” by the singer.

The millionaire businessman owned the luxury motor for six years, covering around 1,000 miles in the process, before selling it on for £145,000 in 2007.

It is now being sold at auction for over three times that amount, with experts giving it a pre-sale estimate of up to £500,000.

The sale is to be held by Bonhams on the second of December.
