Tonight at 7 p.m., the Lahontan Valley Concert Choir will present its Spring Concert at the Churchill County Museum, 1050 S. Maine Street, in Fallon, Nevada.

The concert features songs by popular artists of the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s, such as Elton, John Denver, and the Carpenters

The show is free and open to the public.

The Lahontan Valley Concert Choir does more than sing for the community, they also give back. In 2003, for instance, its members raised enough money to give scholarships to three local high school students.

The group, which formed in 1983, also shows its dedication to Churchill County by accepting nonperishable food items as admission to their concerts.

The Lahontan Valley Concert Choir has just two performances per year, one the first part of December and another in the spring.
