On October 27, 2004 the New York Post reported that Elton’s Red Piano director has been fuming.
That’s because hotelier Vikram Chatwal has been using his name to promote Manhattan’s new Dream hotel.
It turns out that David LaChapelle was involved with the initial conceptual design. But then he wasn’t happy with how his plans were carried out.
Since Chatwal’s establishment ended up being completely redesigned, the New York Times, which wrote otherwise, has promised a retraction.
