Elton has officially scored his 19th top-ten album. His latest, Wonderful Crazy Night, debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200 chart. The album, Elton’s 33rd, sold 58,000 units.

The music-maker’s first top-ten album was his self-titled release in January 1971.

Elton’s previous release, 2013’s The Diving Board,premiered at number four on the Billboard 200. It was his highest charting solo album in the U.S. since Blue Moves in 1976.

Wonderful Crazy Night’s latest single, Looking Up, recently gave the tunesmith his 71st hit on the Adult Contemporary airplay chart, extending his own record. Barbra Streisand comes in second place with 64 AC hits.
