An award-winning Hollywood composer, who was once a member of Elton’s band, will premiere his first ever ‘greatest hits’ show at the Royal Albert Hall on the third of November.

3 Decades of Music for Hollywood will celebrate James Newton Howard’s many Tinseltown triumphs.

The Royal Academy of Music Orchestra and Crouch End Festival Chorus, joined by soloist James Ehnes (on violin) will be playing Howard’s greatest scores, conducted by the composer himself, matched with clips and montages from the movies.

What’s more, Howard will also tell stories from his incredible life working with many of the most famous names in film and music.

Meanwhile, the music-maker is offering to reply to questions via his Facebook page. Do you have something original, funny or interesting to ask? If so, leave him a comment, and he may answer it in an upcoming post.
