Once dubbed “the best guitar player in the world” by Eric Clapton, Caleb Quaye, along with his band, The Faculty, will bring their infectious jazz sounds to the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) show tomorrow evening at 7 p.m.
The free performance will take place in the lobby of the Anaheim Marriott located at 700 W. Convention Way in Anaheim, California.
Quaye’s stellar resume includes performances and/or work with the likes of Elton, Hall & Oates, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Pete Townshend, and Lou Reed.
As noted previously by EJW, Caleb is also the subject of the forthcoming feature film, A Voice Louder Than Rock, a spirited chronicle of a rock and roller working and touring with legends. But it also offers through his story, a message of faith and reconciliation.
The pilot earned top honours in the Best Pilot category at the 7th Annual New Media Film Festival, where the clip made its world premiere last June in Los Angeles.
A Voice Louder Than Rock is produced and directed by Valerie J. Tucker of GloRoc Productions. It is based on his 2006 autobiography A Voice Louder Than Rock & Roll, co-written by Dale A. Berryhill.
The movie contains interviews with quite a few men who have played important roles in Elton’s career. They Paul Buckmaster, Davey Johnstone, Kenny Passarelli, Steve Brown, Stuart Epps and Clive Franks.
