Two Worthwhile London Events

Friday 5
October 2012 @ 16:24

Since its establishment in 1993, the EJAF UK has grown from funding solely domestic programmes, to providing grants in 15 countries across 4 continents supporting over 1,300 projects.

The foundation will be the charitable benefactor of all funds raised by event called the Wig Party on October 21, kicking off at 6 p.m. Its focus is Freedom to Be, a five-day support camp ran by the Childrens HIV Association, which offers 100 HIV-positive teenagers from the UK and Ireland the opportunity to come together and build friendships and self-esteem, and to learn more about HIV through workshops, outdoor and creative activities. The money that’s raised will help to cover the cost of travel to the camp.

This year’s theme is the Wig Party Goes to Toyland. It was originally set for the Roof Gardens, but is to be held at London’s Cafe de Paris instead. For more details or to purchase tickets, visit

Meanwhile, another AIDS benefit is still planned for the Roof Gardens.

The November 25th EJAF gala, which commences at 2 p.m., features a four-course lunch, Grey Goose cocktails on arrival, a charity auction, a goodie bag and some very special guests and entertainers all fundraising to fight against HIV/AIDS.
