In the middle of July, Elton padded his mark for the most appearances in the 52-year history of Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart, as Home Again soared in at No. 21. This was his 69th entry in the ranking.
The achievement marked Elton’s highest on Adult Contemporary since You Can Make History (Young Again) launched at No. 11 in 1996. Until last month, the music-maker had last graced the list with Electricity, which reached No. 17 in August 2009.
Home Again, which is one of the tracks on The Diving Board album due in September, has also made the charts on Radio Orla.
George Matlock, managing director at the station, says that Elton’s song went to number one on ORLA.fm Anglo-Polish radio charts last Saturday.
”Rival Rod Stewart was also in the chart with She Makes Me Happy, but he didn’t make the top spot.”
”Orla” is the only bi-lingual radio stattion for Polish and English-speaking audiences in the United Kingdom. It also broadcasts to listeners in Poland.
