According to the Venice daily, The New Venice & Mestre, which carried a picture of the Rocket Man and his partner on the front page, the two were spotted on their honeymoon.
They were staying at Elton's home on Giudecca, an apartment the singer has compared to a jewel box with its silk rugs and velvet coverings in a colour scheme of aquamarine and pale pink.
They took a water taxi to St. Mark's Square and lunched at Harry's Bar nearby before heading to some upscale shops.
The getaway was David Furnish's idea--he was afraid that the singer would ''bury himself'' in work otherwise.
