Seattle's Experience Music Project is now offering visitors a ''whimsical journey'' into the wardrobes of fictional stars as well as musicians.
According to Registrar Angie Bunker, that includes a 1972 yellow number Annie Reavey designed for Elton, adorned with a pair of palm trees on the front.
Other highlights of their Costumes From The Vault include Stevie Nicks' fringed shawl; the Notorious B.I.G.'s pinstriped suit, hat and cane; Jerry Lee Lewis' monogrammed tuxedo; Kurt Cobain's V-neck sweater, and Michael Jackson's jeweled gloves as well as items from Batman & Robin and Superman.
Before long, another item of interest could be added, since the museum has recently acquired a pair of Elton's snakeskin platform shoes.
Admission is $19.95, and hours in the spring are: Monday-Thursday, 10-5; Friday-Sunday 10-6.
In the summer, the establishment is open daily from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
