Shows in Huddersfield And Sheffield

Friday 17 March 2006 @ 16:46 - GMT

On March 16, 2006, the Daily Examiner reported that there is now a new reception area at Galpharm Stadium.

It's part of a 500,000 pound facelift for the front of the Huddersfield venue. So in addition to an electronic message board and sporting displays, there is a section highlighting concerts by stars like Elton, REM and Bryan Adams.

And in other UK stadium developments, a man Elton has called ''the happiest bluesman I know'' and ''great inspiration'' both past and present, will be at Sheffield's Hallam FM Arena on Wednesday, March 29.

Tickets to see BB King cost 33 and 36 pounds, and can be purchased by ringing up 0114-256 56 56. It's part of the performer's farewell tour, but the Rocket Man isn't so sure about that.

''They don't make them like that anymore. They say this is his last tour, but I'll believe it when I see it.''
