It's not unheard of for rumours to turn up about productions in Las Vegas.
But there have been more than usual, observes the Review-Journal.
Besides Prince taking up residence at The Rio, there's been talk about which names would replace Celine Dion if, as expected, she leaves the Colosseum in 2007. This could include an expanded role for existing Caesars Palace player Elton, who would take turns with Bette Midler, Cher and Diana Ross. Then perhaps they'd kick the whole thing off with one big group concert.
Meanwhile over the weekend, Elton and Timbaland were seen at the Studio at The Palms, teaming up on a ''super secret project.'' The producer, who has worked with Justin Timberlake and appeared at the Fashion Rocks fund-raiser, was one of the people Elton had recently expressed interest in collaborating with, for a hip-hop album.
''It could be a disaster or it could be fantastic,'' the 59-year-old admitted.
