Elton in Moscow Tuesday

Open Gallery...

There were practically no empty seats in the hall for 6,000 at the Kremlin Congress Palace yesterday, according to Kommersant.com.

The crowd was there to see Elton, decked out in a black sparkling frock coat, black trousers with red stripes and red T-shirt, his voice as strong as ever.

The response to the first songs dating back to mid.-1970s was calm, but the ninth one, Sacrifice, stirred up the audience.

Elton dedicated The Bridge to Russias famous cellist Mstislav Rostropovich, who died during the spring.

I love you, Slava, the singer shouted from the stage.

Elton's other numbers included Crocodile Rock, Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me, I'm Still Standing and Blessed.
