Designer Kenneth Cole has compiled a new book, Awearness: Inspiring Stories About How to Make a Difference.
Among those who have contributed essays are Elton, Lance Armstrong, Jon Bon Jovi, Magic Johnson, Ludacris and onetime New York governor Mario Cuomo.
The project sells for $25 and 100 percent of the net proceeds will be donated to the Awearness Fund, which supports humanitarian projects.
Readers may recall that in the latter portion of 2005, Cole launched a campaign called We All Have AIDS. The focus was on a black-and-white photograph of 25 prominent AIDS activists.
Included were Elton, former President Nelson Mandela and Elizabeth Taylor.
