Candles will be burning in the wind this summer for Sir Elton who headlines on the Plains of Abraham July 9 as part of the 44th Quebec Summer Festival.
The singer-songwriter will perform selections from throughout his five-decade career at the big annual Quebec City outdoor show.
Dominique Goulet, festival programme director, said he believed that the concert will be a "highlight of the festival."
Other artists confirmed for the event include Cage the Elephant and Girl Talk, with more to be announced in late April.
Elton will be accompanied by his band.
