As this Web site mentioned, last week when Elton attended the Venice Biennale, he ended up making a purchase.

According to the Art Newspaper, it was by an artist from Los Angeles.

Elton pointed to a sculpture by Ruben Ochoa and proudly declared ''sold.''

Ochoa's dealer, Susanne Vielmetter, said each concrete sculpture costs $75,000. When they were brought to the Venetian palazzo, they had to be installed by crane. However, as one of them weighed over 4,000kg and was too heavy for the elegant marble floors, it had to be replaced at the last minute.

Elton's new acquisition, Twenty-Seven Hundred And Eighty-Five Kilos Of Displacement Plus Metal Plate, 2011, is a little lighter as its title suggests. It is believed he will install it at his garden in Windsor.
