M∙A∙C Viva Glam Fashion Cares Chairs Michael King and David Furnish are delighted to announce that the Scissor Sisters, Janelle Monáe and Sky Ferreira will join Elton at Fashion Cares 25.
As previously mentioned, the benefit takes place in Toronto at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts on Sunday, September 9. The evening will be hosted by fashion icon Linda Evangelista and celebrated designers Dean & Dan Caten of DSQUARED2.
The list of Canadian talent who will take part in the events dazzling grand finale has been confirmed as Molly Johnson, Billy Newton Davis, Carole Pope, Jarvis Church, Jully Black, Kreesha Turner, Keshia Chanté, Elise Legrow, RyanDan, Anjulie, and Shawn Desman.
A number of extravagant runway presentations are also planned.Vivienne Westwood, Greta Constantine, Pink Tartan, Gareth Pugh, Manish Aurora and DSQUARED2 are among the glittering roster of twenty-five local and international designers showcasing their work. Guests will also be treated to a quarter century retrospective that highlights the glamorous events most show-stopping looks. What's more, a striking selection from the costume archives of Sir Elton will be on display.
Tickets may be purchased through Ticketmaster and are tax deductible. Proceeds from the event will benefit Canadian HIV/AIDs foundations nationwide as distributed through the AIDS Committee of Toronto as well as the Elton John AIDS Foundation. All ticket purchases make a substantial contribution to the efforts of ACT and EJAF and are eligible for a tax receipt:
$1,500 ticket = $1,000 tax receipt
$1,000 ticket = $750 tax receipt
$500 ticket = $325 tax receipt
